Privacy & cookies

This page describes how MITC.dk processes information in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Danish practice. It is provided for transparency; it is not legal advice.

Data controller

The controller for personal data collected through this website is Svend Madsen, operating as MITC.dk (freelance / sole proprietor). Contact: [email protected], phone +45 23 61 21 91.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential — needed for basic site operation. We store your cookie preference (accept analytics or essential only) in your browser (localStorage) so we do not ask on every visit.
  • Analytics (optional) — only if you choose “Accept analytics”. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to understand aggregated traffic (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Google’s terms and privacy information apply to their processing.

Purposes and legal basis

We process data for: operating and securing the website; responding to enquiries you send; and, if you consent, measuring site use with analytics. Legal bases under GDPR are typically legitimate interests (website operation, security, responding to requests) and consent (analytics cookies / GA4), where applicable.

Recipients and transfers

If analytics is enabled, usage data is processed by Google as described in their documentation. Google may process data in the United States and other countries; Google provides appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) as described in their privacy materials.

Retention

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation and any follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data retention follows the settings configured in the Google Analytics property.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Denmark this is the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
